I spotted this survivor at my doctor’s office this week. It appears to be a 2001/2002 Mercedes S55 AMG in Dark Turquoise Metallic (too green to be Wedgewood Blue Metallic, methinks). It’s been almost a year since I’ve seen an S55 that wasn’t on the scrap heap.

Love the color choice too. Very 90's (even if it is a 00)

The last time I spotted one was on a trip to Palm Springs in May of last year. It was silver too. Wheels were way too big to be stock.

It’s so nice to see a Benz painted in an actual color, and not just another shade of black/grey/silver/white.

Up here it’s still considered a very expensive car, I bet it’s bog standard and in an immaculate shape.

Somewhat related: The other day I saw this Phaeton in Waterworld Pearl with a pearl white roof:

It looks more like Marais Green to me (the rare Waterworld finish was more of an eye-popping turquoise), but still a pretty color. Not sure how I feel about the two-tone, though. The Phaeton looks stunning in Campanella White and Marais Green individually, but I wouldn’t put both on the same car.

That was my first thought after I googled Phaeton paint codes, but Marias Green is pretty dark:
Waterworld is the brighter green:

Actually, the one you have on top there is the Euro-only Turca Anthracite, and the one below it is Marais. In fact, I know the owner of that very Turca Anthracite Phaeton. That’s a picture of Peter Mills’ car. He’s active on VWVortex and lives in the UK.
Turca Anthracite:
Marais Green:
Waterworld Pearl:
They’re all pretty close in color, just a shade or two apart, so they’re easy to confuse. Also, I wouldn’t rely on a quick GIS to identify which color’s which, as a lot of the photos floating around the net are mislabeled.
Still looks like Marais to my eyes, and far more likely, since only two Phaetons were ever sold in North America in Waterworld Peal, and one of them’s in Canada.

It’s times like this when I wish all manufacturers would have a convenient photo somewhere on their website that showed a paint sample. Not a render, but an actual photo of a a McLaren-style paint frog.
The only source I could find on Waterworld was this site which is convinced that it is showcasing a Waterworld Pearl, but I guess the Internet isn’t known for its factual accuracy.
